Event Booking Terms & Information
Event Cancellation
If we have to cancel the training weekend because of coach illness or other unexpected event, a full refund will be given. In the event of you being unable to attend, we will do our utmost to sell your place again and if successful, a full refund will be given. If less than 2 weeks from the start date, no refund will be given.
In the event that the regatta is cancelled by the organisers then a full refund will be given. No refunds will be given if you decide not to participate on the day or withdraw your entry less that two weeks before the event

Boat Hire or Parking
Boats are available to hire for the full weekend as an option on your booking form, to arrange boat hire please contact angie@aberdeenshiresailing.org If you are taking your own boat this can be dropped of on from 17:00 on Friday 14th of June through to the morning of the event . Please let us know at bluetoon@peterheadsailingclub.org if you are dropping off your boat early.
Catering
Lunch will be provided this year in the form of sandwiches, fruit and traybakes sourced from a local business. Please bring your own reusable water bottle to refill whilst at the club. You may also wish to take snacks afloat with you on the water. Please let us know about any dietary requirements on the entry form or alternatively contact us with any queries.
Stay Locally
Peterhead Marina Bay Holliday Park are located nearby. They have tent, caravan and motorhome pitches available as well as a pods, static caravans and lodges available to hire. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Your Personal Data
We will use your personal data to allow us to process your registration and we will use the contact details you provide to communicate with you about the event. As this event is co-organised by Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust (AST) and Peterhead Sailing Club (PSC), both organisations will act as joint data controllers as defined in GDPR regulations. We may also use your contact details following the event to send you content relating to the event and/or to ask you for feedback as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. We will not share your personal data with any other third party. The use of your personal data in this way forms part of our ‘contract’ with you to provide the event.
We may use your information to help monitor engagement with our event and to inform future planning; this is for statistical purposes only. To do so we will keep the information you provide when booking and details of the event for up to five years. This is with the exception of special category data (e.g. health information such as dietary or accessibility requirements) which will be retained for up to three months after the event.
In order to facilitate online bookings we use Squarespace – a third party service which is not operated by Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust or Peterhead Sailing Club. Details of the Squarespace privacy policy can be found at: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy
Photographs and Video
The organisers may use photographs and video footage taken at this event for the purpose of promoting AST / PSC and publish these online on our websites or in other media such as social media sites or press releases. AST and PSC will not make use of any images where individuals can be identified, whether deliberately or accidentally taken unless parents or guardians give permission for these to be used in the relevant section of the entry form. Images may be kept for up to ten years and material published online (e.g. on our website and social media pages) for an indefinite amount of time.
Declaration
I agree to be bound by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), including the prescriptions of the RYA and the rules of the classes participating, and all other rules that govern this event except where any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions and/or the relevant Notice of Race or any supplementary instructions. I accept that the safety of the boat and her entire management, including insurance, is my sole responsibility. I confirm that the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise during the event and that nothing reduces my absolute responsibility for the crew, the boat or her management. The race organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury however caused to or by me or the crew, as a result of taking part in the event. I certify that the boat detailed above has a minimum cover of £3,000,000 third party liability insurance.
