Saying Goodbye To Our Committee Boat
Today we said goodbye to our old committee boat as it left Peterhead for a new home nearby. We hope the new owner enjoys many happy hours on the water.
The club has owned the boat for a long time but it has fallen out of use in recent years. In challenging financial times it is hard to justify year round marina and insurance costs for something we use so infrequently and the committee felt that your money would be better spent on other priorities.
The longer term plan is to replace the boat with a keelboat like a 707 that will add to the range of activities on offer and hopefully bring in some new members as well.
