CNOOC Oil Spill Response and EGCP Beach Clean

We were approached by CNOOC International about using the clubhouse for an Oil Spill Response day they were arranging at the end of May. The day saw all kinds of activity in the Lido area and lots of very cool technology on demonstration in the clubhouse. It was reassuring to see the level of care and planning that goes into avoiding environmental disasters and a good opportunity to meet some of those involved. The session ended with a beach clean organised by East Grampian Coastal Partnership. CNOOC funded this year's Aberdeenshire Schools Regatta as well as some clubhouse improvements. We really appreciate their support and hope to work with them again in the future
