Here at Peterhead Sailing Club, we offer great sailing for everyone from beginners to regular experienced sailors. You can sail within the shelter of the marina, or partake in regular sailing of dinghies, catamarans and yachts within the smooth waters of the harbour of refuge. You can even venture into the North Sea round the Skerrie rocks and beyond!

Our history dates back to when the old Buchan Yacht club operated out of the bay in the 1960s, long before the Marina was built. We have our clubhouse, built in 1995, which provides modern facilities and hot showers as well as a good place to meet socially or watch the sailors in action. We also have a boat park with easy access to the sandy beach.

Our action packed dinghy sailing schedule includes our popular Sunday racing series and Friday Novice racing, as well as a variety of other events, as a way to get people on the water with good safety cover. We have a variety of other events too, as a way to get people on the water with good safety cover.

The season normally runs between early April and the end of November. We have a vibrant membership with a variety of skills and qualifications who are generally on hand for advice and basic coaching. Great if you're just starting out!

Formal sailing courses and other training activities are provided by the RYA registered Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust. Check them out here.

If you want any further information about membership or our activities please contact any of the committee members. Their details are on the Contacts Info page.
